Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall
Situated in the vast 30-acre Burj Lake in Downtown Dubai, the Dubai Fountain is one of the city's most popular attractions, delighting onlookers every afternoon and evening.
The Dubai Fountain, a mesmerising blend of water, music, and light located in Downtown Dubai, holds the title of the world’s tallest performing fountain. Stretching over 900 feet – comparable to more than two football fields – it resides on the expansive 30-acre Burj Lake, presenting shows set to a variety of melodies.
Its unique design includes five circles of different sizes along with two arcs, featuring powerful water nozzles that propel water to remarkable heights. With over 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 colour projectors, the fountain showcases more than 1,000 distinctive water movements, while 50 additional colour projectors deliver a full range of hues with a combined output of 1.5 million lumens.
The fountain's performances encompass an array of songs spanning classical, contemporary Arabic, and global music. During operation, it releases more than 22,000 gallons of water into the air at any moment.
The fountain is animated with performances set to light and music. It is visible from every point on the lake promenade and many neighbouring structures.
The shows are held daily, with afternoon performances occurring from 1:00 to 1:30 PM, except on Fridays when they begin from 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Evening performances take place every 30 minutes between 6:00 and 11:00 PM. Be aware that timings may vary, particularly during holidays and religious celebrations.
